Xavi still has not made a final decision on his future reports ESPN Sam Marsden and Moises Llorens.
The Barca president will meet the board in the coming days.
Barcelona want to keep Xavi despite the team final result as they value the work he has done since arriving in 2021. In addition they can not invest much in new managers due to the worrisome financial situation.
Xavi could reconsider his decision to leave if he is given a specific team guarantee for next season. Obviously he wants the club to make some big signings that seem incredibly difficult.
For the first time in months Xavi is said to be finally open to saving however. The final decision has not yet been made.
