Emile Smith Rowe shocked fans when he missed a recent 6-0 win over West Ham United despite recovering from a long-term knee injury.
Before the match Mikel Arteta confirmed that Smith Rowe had sprained his ankle in training.
Reports claim that Smith Rowe fell and hit his ankle while trying to avoid slipping in training. He even wanted to play in pain but Arsenal medical staff advised him not to.
