Blue cards to be introduced in football

The Telegraph reports that the blue card is set to appear in football.

Players who receive this card will be temporarily removed from the court for 10 minutes for making a mistake or expressing dissatisfaction with the official of the match. Therefore the penalty will be something that can continue to play and withdrawals will not be able to play again.

The board of the International Football Association the parliamentary body of the tournament approved the idea for testing.

Next season FA Cup men and women can see the issuance of blue cards as the FA is volunteering to provide a test site for the new rules.

Sin-bins will not be used in the 2024 European Championships or Champions League next season. UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin strongly opposes the idea claiming it is no longer football.
