Wesley Fofana is the unfortunate victim of a serious knee injury that has kept him out for the entire 2023/24 season so far.
The Frenchman suffered a hamstring injury in pre-season training under Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino and underwent surgery.
However he is recovering from his injury and according to club insider Simon Phillips there is hope at the club that Fofana can play until the end of the season.
The center-back could return for the final game of the campaign possibly in the last few games.
That was an impressive achievement for Fofana who was not expected to be fit enough to play before June / July for the first time.
With Mauricio Pochettino reportedly intending to move to a 3-4-3 formation. Maybe he could have the French defender on his mind to get into his team after his return.
