Toni Kroos happy with Saudi support

Toni Kroos was shouted at every time he touched the ball during Real Madrid 5-3 win over Atletico Madrid in Saudi Arabia.

Kroos responded with interviews from the match. The midfielder posted a simple message saying I'm so happy today in the crowd.

The reason why the Saudi crowd has been hostile to Kroos dates back to August 2023 when Kroos criticized the talented Celta Vigo striker Gabri Veiga for opting to move to Saudi Arabia at the age of 21. Kroos considered the move a disgrace.

It seems that fans in Saudi Arabia have never tolerated Kroos for his game and have been waiting for an opportunity to express their feelings when he comes to the Middle East.

Kroos was linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League last summer but he refused to extend his one year contract with Real Madrid.
