Asked about his thoughts on United 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic and whether he felt they should have scored more Erik ten Hag said

We dropped those who wanted to beat us. That what I said in the dressing room ready to work. Oh of course we should have scored more. In the first half I think we created five or six good chances.

I think this football is very good. We should grab more but if you do not score you have to focus a little bit and I think we did well tonight.

You can not say why you missed the opportunity. Last night there were good attacks and good chances but we did not do well.

Ten Hag seemed completely dissatisfied with the way his team won the match which is understandable given how frustrated they were in the face of not reaching the goal.

However he will be happy to see them start 2024 on a winning record and will hopefully return to a Premier League win against Tottenham Hotspur.
