According to sources Timo Werner is close to joining Tottenham he has left RB Leipzig on a six month loan deal with a buy out option.
The 27 year old former Chelsea striker has been named on the bench this season with most of the seats on the bench.
The story of last season Werner returned to Germany in the summer of 2022 leaving Stamford Bridge after the Blues were bought by the American League led by Todd Boehly.
The striker made a decent start to the season scoring 16 goals in 40 games in all competitions although his Bundesliga total stands at nine in 28 games.
This season however Werner has lost his place in the squad to some better players. Lois Openda the Lens hero of 2022/23 already has 15 goals from 25 games with Benjamin Sesko as a reliable defender.
Injuries are also a part of Werner still an injured player spending some time off the field. Last season with a torn ligament while this season was also disrupted by adductor pain.
