It was reported this morning that Reece James decided to operate on his knee after suffering another injury earlier this month

Reece James posted a picture of him in a hospital bed confirming surgery. Now in order for him to recover he has to rest for a long time expected to be absent until April.

The football world knows I am injured but the procedure I will take now is a little longer to find the best solution the Chelsea captain wrote on Instagram.

I underwent surgery today to try to fix my tendon which has begun to heal both physically and mentally.

Since this injury I have had a lot of support but also a lot of hatred and negativity. Believe me I do not want to get hurt I'm happiest when I play football.
