Barca reveals Gavi surgery results

Barcelona have confirmed that Gavi underwent successful surgery on his knee today.

A club statement said Gavi had successfully undergone surgery on his torn right knee ligament including a meniscus suture today.

The operation was administered by the medical services of the Joan Carles Monllau Medical Club which intervened at the Barcelona Hospital.

ACL injuries are the worst type of injury that players do not want to experience. Most players who go through it become a shadow of their former self. But we hope this will not be the case for Gavi.

Gavi will be out for at least eight months.
