The parents of Francesco Camarda were thrilled when their son stepped on the pitch for AC Milan first appearance in the recent victory over Fiorentina.
Although AC Milan took a 1-0 lead and Fiorentina struggled to equalize Coach Stefano Pioli decided to bring Camarda into the 84th minute. At just 15 years and 260 days he became the youngest player in Serie A history.
The previous record holder was Wisdom Amey. He was 15 years and 274 days old when he played his first game for Bologna in May 2021 as reported by Sky Sport Italia.
When the announcer called Camarda and the crowd cheered the camera captured Camarda parents especially his mother who could not hold back the tears.
Mailan 1-0 win over Fiorentina ended their last game without a win and kept them third in the league. They are now five points behind Inter Milan who lead the league.
