Sir Jim Ratcliffe loves Man United and the city hence his interest in the club, according to the United Stand.
The report claims that the billionaire's drive isn't for financial gains even though football these days revolves around money.
It further said that Ratcliffe's multinational chemicals company, INEOS, has an annual turnover of over $ 65 billion - way higher than what United generates.
According to reports, Ratcliffe has agreed a deal worth between £1.3-1.5 billion to acquire a minority 25 per cent stake in United from the Glazer family. It is said that the 70-year-old has negotiated a clause which will allow himself and INEOS to control footballing operations at Old Trafford.
