Sir Jim Ratcliffe will need to play a bit of a waiting game before his minority takeover at Man United is done.
As per the Times, it will probably take around eight weeks before he can officially be brought on board as a co-owner.
He will firstly have to undergo the Premier League’s owners’ and directors’ test before being able to join the board of directors.
Sir Jim and his team are hopeful that the process is fully completed before the January transfer window.
That is because after taking control of sporting decisions at the club, the British billionaire hopes to make moves for the club in the winter window.
Sir Jim could aim to improve the Man United squad by making signings after consulting with Erik ten Hag – who he is happy to keep under his ownership.
