Barcelona are closely following Leo Messi's situation with Inter Miami, reports Diario Sport's Josep Capdevila.
The club are well aware that they could make a loan offer for the Argentine if the MLS club miss out on a playoff spot.
There have been no movements from Barca yet. However, things could change in the coming days already.
Inter Miami have their next game on Sunday, October 8 – this is when the David Beckham-owned side could lose their final chance for the playoffs.
Both Barca and Inter Miami are interested in organising a tribute for the legendary Argentine. It's unclear if Miami would agree to send the 36-year-old out on loan for this purpose.
If the MLS side don't reach the playoff stage, Messi will be without any game time at a club level from late October to February, friendly matches aside.
