Lamine Yamal wins La Liga Player of the Month Award

Lamine Yamal has been named La Liga under-23 player of the month for August.

This is a new award category in La Liga to honour young players who performed brilliantly in the league during the month.

Yamal played three games for Barcelona in August, starting two of those and registering three assists. The teenager beat players like Inaki Williams and Take Jubo to the award.

On Friday evening, Lamine made history as he became the youngest player to play for Spain at just 16. He also scored a brilliant goal in that game.
