Oriol Romeu has pulled out of training with Girona, according to Gerard Romeo.

Romero says Romeu has left Girona training to undergo his Barcelona medicals ahead of a sensational move to the Catalan giants.

What it means is that Barcelona have reached an agreement with Girona for the transfer of Romeu.

The 31-year-old midfielder could be confirmed as a new Barcelona player in the next few hours.

Barca are expected to pay around €5m to Girona for the signature of Romeu. As a sign of goodwill, the Blaugrana may send Pablo Torre in the other direction in a season-long loan.
