Former Premier League referee Mike Dean has left his role as a video assistant referee.
The 55-year-old stopped working in the field last year and was solely on VAR duty for the 2022-23 season.
"PGMOL can confirm that Mike Dean will be leaving the organisation this summer," the official statement said.
"Dean became a dedicated VAR last summer and has also spent time coaching match officials over the past 12 months after calling time on his long and distinguished on-field career at the end of the 2021-22 season.
"PGMOL would like to place on record its recognition of Mike’s achievements as well as his immense contribution to refereeing and the game as a whole. We thank him for his dedication to the organisation over a sustained period of time and wish him every success for the future."
Since he started officiating in the Premier League in 1995, Dean has become one of the most recognizable referees in the competition. He still holds the record for most red cards shown - 114 in 553 top-flight games.
