Jurrien Timber to finally make much-awaited return for Arsenal

Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Jurrien Timber will play for Arsenal Under-21 as he continues his path to recovery.

The Gunners travel to Ewood Park to face Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League 2 Division One on Monday night.

Mikel has said he will play for the Under-21s and after that we will see more clearly where he is and how he feels. He looks good in training but it is the last step now. We need to make sure he is ready.

He can play in both right and left positions in terms of the game and the players we have.

Jurrien has been sidelined since August when he suffered an ACL injury.
