Leeds United are considering a loan move for Manchester City midfielder and former cult hero Kalvin Phillips if they clinch a return to the Premier League according to the Daily Mail.
The 28-year-old is currently on loan at West Ham United where he is frustrated and the Hammers have no intention of permanently extending his six-month contract.
Despite the alarming decline Leeds seem to believe he can recover when he returns to the field he patrolled for eight years after his senior debut.
Leeds will seek a season-long loan from City if they return to the top flight. Cityzens want 30 million to sell him but he will struggle to impress with his current form.
