The Independent Miguel Delaney reports that Barcelona are vying to try and secure the appointment of Ruben Amorim.
The Catalans have been working on the transfer of Sporting Lisbon while Liverpool and Bayern Munich have largely focused on Xabi Alonso decision. Amorim is now a key target for both Barca and Liverpool.
The 39 year old has led Sporting to 142 wins in 203 games in all competitions and has won four trophies with Portugal including the domestic league title in 2020/21.
It has been widely suggested that Amorim form would suit Barcelona perfectly 3-4-3 attack with an emphasis on depth and smoothness.
