The striker has scored eight goals and six assists in 42 appearances for Ipswich who are currently on loan. He won the February Player of the Month award.
The Blues are impressed with Hutchinson performance at Ipswich. They are expected to offer him a new contract when he returns from loan. His current contract expires in 2025.
However the striker will need assurances that he will have enough playing time to continue his development at Chelsea.
