Barcelona sporting director Deco met with Erling Haaland Rafaela Pimenta agent in the city recently.
However the meeting has nothing to do with Haaland as Barca are not in an economic or financial position to sign the Norwegian target machine Fabrizio Romano said in his broadcast.
Haaland earns over € 600K a week and costs € 150m on the Transfermarkt. It sets him apart from Barca who are unable to sign players until they earn 200 million in player sales.
However Haaland agency also serves as the agent of 27 other players who trade their trade in five major European leagues. Romano says Barca sporting director has discussed signing one of those players.
A possible option is Bayern center-back Matthijs de Ligt a close friend of Frenkie De Jong.
