Lionel Messi has opened his goal account for the 2024 MLS season and it's a beautiful thing.

The Argentine scored by sliding his left foot inside the goal area to save Inter Miami and force a 1-1 draw against the Los Angeles Galaxy.

The goal came after a long pass between Messi and team-mate Jordi Alba along two left-backs. Minutes in overtime.

Messi is happy to open his account after missing Wednesday opener against Real Salt Lake City.

However former Galaxy player and Miami co-owner David Beckham does not seem to be celebrating because he spent five years playing for an LA club before ending his career.

The next game for Messi and Miami is Orlando City next Saturday.
