Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos warm meeting at Bernabeu

Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos who have been together for nine years and won countless trophies together at Real Madrid met again on Sunday.

This is the first time they have met at the Santiago Bernabeu since the defender parted ways with the club three years ago returning to his old club Sevilla this summer.

After the match Luka and Sergio who were not only former teammates but also best friends off the field took off their shirts and shared a warm hug.

Speaking to mixed regional media Modric said:

Sergio Ramos is my brother. People always judge us by our age but his level is very simple. Very happy after seeing him. I spoke to him yesterday he was emotional.

Both of you are Lukita! Oh we will miss you both when it comes time to hang up your shoes!
